Description

You are invited to the annual UConn Early College Experience Library Media Specialist Training!

UConn ECE believes that accomplished library media specialists are leaders who forge greater opportunities for learners. They work in partnership with instructors to provide students access to research materials and reinforce the importance of information literacy in daily life. They can also serve as leaders in instruction, assisting instructors with curriculum development. With access to millions of records at the University of Connecticut, it is important that affiliate library media specialists can access materials and utilize university resources effectively. For that reason, UConn ECE library media specialists are invited to the Storrs campus for a training on how to navigate the resources.

The Spring 2018 training will take place April 12, 2018 Space is limited to 36 persons. Register on this page!

UConn Early College Experience (ECE) is a concurrent enrollment program that allows motivated high school students to take UConn courses at their high schools for both high school and college credit. Every course taken through UConn ECE is equivalent to the same course at the University of Connecticut. Students benefit by taking college courses in a setting that is both familiar and conducive to learning.

High school instructors who have been certified through the University of Connecticut teach UConn ECE courses.

Established in 1955, UConn Early College Experience is the nation's longest running concurrent enrollment program and is nationally accredited by The National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (NACEP).
